Capture- Photography

The most captivating part of this video is to me the stories Platon tell about his portraits. Knowing the situation and stories behind the photos gives a whole new level of understanding of them. It becomes more like looking at a photo album of your friends vacation than looking at a photo in a gallery or on the web. It has an anecdote connected to it, a story you can bring on to others who see the same photo.

Notable points

-Photographers as storytellers.

-Subjective interpretation.

-Power of the innocent photographer.

-Feeling of being an intruder, being western Caucasian in developing countries.

-Breastfeeding photos, society’s view on sexuality- photography addressing society.

-Illusions of seclusion by using specific angles.

-Provoke conversation

-Freedom away from publicist
